IF you want to get into Granny’s Attic this weekend, The Huntingdon Hall in Worcester will be the place to be.

Granny’s Attic - comprising of Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne (melodeon, concertina, vocals), George Sansome (guitar, vocals) and Lewis Wood (fiddle, vocals) – are a folk trio “who play the tradition with verve, energy and their own inimitable style”.

A spokesman said: “They are all exceptional musicians and fine singers and play English traditional and original music. They have played all over the country and in Europe, and have been heralded for their lively performances and delivery of traditional songs and tunes.

“Despite still being in their 20s, this Worcester trio seem like they’ve fallen through a wormhole in the late 1960s and arrived in the present-day sounding remarkably like the British folk giants of that era. To celebrate 10 years of performing together, they have released a new album and are returning to Worcester to play a special one-off hometown gig.”

This Saturday, October 19 at 7.30pm.
