PACE Print and Design has been offering printing and design in Worcester for more than 30 years, is a long-established name in the city.

Set up in 1986, the current managing director of the company, Martin Johnson, has this month celebrated a decade with the firm.

He said: “The big change that happened was that up until 2013 we had been a predominantly trade supplier of printed items.

“That coincided with the effects of the financial crash, where lots of companies were looking simply at price pressure. By incorporating direct mail into our operation and transforming the Company to deal with end customers we have managed to succeed where other print suppliers have not.

“Our USP has always been quality, service and making sure we get it right and do a proper job; 99 per cent right is 100 per cent wrong. We like to see ourselves as a problem solver for our customers – they have a challenge and we provide a solution.”

Martin said variety and high quality were the most important parts of the firm’s daily workload, adding: “Embracing tech is really important, because anyone can put ink on paper but even in this day and age you have to have an understanding of the whole process as our the majority of our customers are not print buyers.

“We have just launched click and collect same day service so that if our customers want something quickly they can simply log on select a product upload artwork and collect later the same day. You have to adapt, improvise and overcome in business because if you stand still, you die.” For more details, see
