INDIE folk band Elephant Sessions is heading to Bangor for a gig as part its world tour

Hailing from the Highlands of Scotland, the award winning band, which turns traditional music on its head, is to play Pontio.

Elephant Sessions were winners in the 2017 BBC Scots trad awards album of the year and the 2018 BBC Scots trad live act of the year awards. They were also finalists in the 2018 BBC Radio 2 folk awards for best band.

The band exploded onto the indie folk scene with its album 'All We Have Is Now' and has appeared at some of the world’s most notable venues and festivals.

The band's latest album 'What Makes You' promises to build on this success with mandolin and fiddles pushing the limits, whilst matching the percussive rhythm of drums, bass and guitar, and fusing with electronic dance beats.

The band can be seen at 8pm, at the Theatr Bryn Terfel, Pontio, on Saturday, December 7.
