Fire crews rushed to high-rise fire in Woolston
FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a high-rise blaze in a Southampton flat last night.
Crews from Hightown fire station battled to clear smoke from a kitchen flat fire on John Thornycroft Road, Woolston.
They found it was due to food that had been burnt whilst cooking on a hob.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were sent to tackle the blaze after receiving an emergency call at 10.24pm.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
