THE TOWN hall is set to turn orange in support of a sweet campaign for NHS workers.
Last year, charitable Boltonians collected almost 1,000 Chocolate Oranges to give to staff at the Royal Bolton Hospital during the busy Christmas period.
Organisers are hoping to top that figure this year and council chiefs are showing their support by lighting up the town hall in orange.
The switch is set to take place on Friday, December 13, from 5pm until 6am the following morning.
The scheme is run by Bolton accountant Debbie Croston, who was inspired by a similar project in Merseyside. Donations can be made at Westhoughton Library, The Hub Westhoughton, John Holt Community Centre and Hays Travel, in Market Street.
