PRIME Minister Boris Johnson made a flying visit to an Omega business on Tuesday night.

The PM went to the Hut Group warehouse close to the M62 during a whistle stop tour of the north west in the final scramble for votes ahead of Thursday's General Election.

Mr Johnson's final visit of the day saw him help pack superhero figures at the warehouse which ships items around the world.

"It's a yellow hulk," remarked the PM.

Corrected that it was gold, Mr Johnson added: "The madder the Hulk gets, the stronger he gets."

Mr Johnson then helped pack protein items for those seeking to bulk up, noting one item was off to Lithuania and another to Essex.

It is the latest in a string of high profile visits to Warrington South as the Tories target the seat which could help return Mr Johnson to 10 Downing Street.

Andy Carter needs a swing of two per cent to win the seat for the Conservatives from Labour's Faisal Rashid.

It is one of a series of crucial seats across the north west being targeted by the Tories.

Previous visits during this election campaign have included Chancellor Sajid Javid, health secretary Matt Hancock and foreign secretary Dominic Raab.

A new YouGov poll released this week predicts Warrington South, which is listed as the 23rd most vulnerable seat in the country, will stay with Labour.

The poll says the Conservatives are heading for a small majority of around 28 seats.

Mr Rashid enjoyed a 2,549 majority over Conservative David Mowat in 2017.
