A 55-year-old man is to face trial after denying two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm against the same woman.
Paul Grant of Cranham Drive, Warndon, Worcester, appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Monday.
He denies both assaults, said by the prosecution to have been committed on August 13 last year against the same alleged victim, Donna Barnes.
The trial has already been placed in a warned list which means it could begin soon after January 27.
Grant was told the trial could take place at either Worcester or Hereford Crown Court.
