There has been a great response to Light Night Festival volunteering opportunities according to the Festival Team

More than 70 volunteer applications were received by The Arches Worcester Festival team seeking volunteers to bring Worcester’s four brand new festivals to life in 2020.

David Edmunds, Festival Director, Severn Arts said: “The response to our call has been fantastic and we’re delighted to have such enthusiastic community involvement in the Festival. Our volunteers are so important, helping to stage an unforgettable event and make sure everything runs smoothly and that everyone goes away with great memories.”

Festival volunteer Jordan Leaman said: “I’m looking forward to volunteering. It’s great to see events like this connecting people and a great chance for me to step forward and do what I can to support Worcester's modern cultural society and the interests of my good friends involved with performing arts.”

Another volunteer commented: “I’m looking forward to making some new friends while volunteering at the Light Night Worcester”

For one evening only Light Night Worcester will animate the city centre with a stunning programme of light installations, digital projections and playful performances created by local and international artists.

As well as participating at Light Night Worcester, volunteers are also being sought to get involved in Atmosphere: the second new festival taking place on Saturday 25 April, Disrupting the Norm: the third festival taking place from 6 – 11 July and Worcester’s International Story Festival which will take place in October.
