A Droitwich man was sentenced after his dog injured two people in the town. Paul Cotterill appeared before magistrates on January 16 charged with having a dangerously out of control dog in the town on March 28 and December 30, 2018 when the dog, named Bruno, injured a woman and a man in two separate incidents.

Cotterill, 58, of Homestead, Droitwich, indicated guilty pleas to both charges was ordered to pay £200 in addition to being given a three year conditional discharge. No order was made for Bruno’s destruction, as the dog had already died.

A trial date has been set for a Droitwich man who was charged with voyeurism, assault by touching and possession of indecent photographs of children.

Aston Gurney appeared before magistrates on January 16 to face the charges, and the case was sent to Worcester Crown Court, where they 18 year-old will appear on February 13.

The charges are all alleged to have taken place between January 2014 and January 2019.

A prisoner who assaulted a woman in Worcester has been fined and been jailed.

Dean Lownes appeared via video-link on January 16 charged with damaging a window in Church Street, Worcester, stealing a mobile phone and a bank card and assaulting the victim on July 28, last year.

Lownes pleaded guilty to the charges and was given 21 weeks concurrent with his existing prison sentence. He was also ordered to pay £350 in fines and compensation.

A man who stole boxes in Pershore and Malvern worth more than £900 has been fined.

Michael McDonagh, of Brookthorpe, Gloucester, pleaded guilty to stealing more than 20 tote boxes worth £460 from Asda in Pershore on December 17 before stealing 20 more from Halfords in Malvern on the same day.
