A MAN has been fined for drugs possession and driving offences.

Thomas Gaughan, of Highfield, Callow End, near Worcester, pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, driving without a test certificate, two counts of driving with drugs in his system and indicated a guilty plea to the first charge, possession of cannabis.

All of the offences took place on July 31 last year, and the 29 year-old was fined £100 for the possession charge as well as each of the drug driving charges, resulting in a total of £432 to be paid.

He was also banned from driving for 12 months.

A woman who was drunk and disorderly in a main city street has been convicted.

Jayne Tilt appeared before magistrates in Worcester charged with being drunk and disorderly in Foregate Street on December 11 last year.

The 31 year-old, from Dent Close, pleaded guilty to the charge and was given a two year conditional discharge.

No victim surcharge or costs were ordered due to insufficient means.

A man who drove in Worcester with cannabis in his system has been fined and banned from driving.

Benjamin Aston, of Kentmere Close, Worcester, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before magistrates on January 16.

He admitted driving a Ford Fiesta in Cirencester Place on July 31 last year with Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol, a by-product of cannabis in his system. Magistrates fined 35 year-old Aston £132, as well as banning him from driving for 12 months.

A trial date has been set for a man accused of stealing a television, a games console and a set of golf clubs.

James Pugh, 19, appeared before magistrates in Worcester to face a charge of burgling a house in the city.

The charge states that on November 21, 2018, he entered the house, in Heenan Court, Worcester and stole a Panasonic TV, an Xbox One, Ben Sayers golf clubs in a blue and white golf bag, a small dumbbell, an ironing board and various clothes to the value of £1495.00.

Pugh, of Goodwin Gardens, Evesham, did not enter a plea when he appeared in court on January 16, and magistrates decided to send the case to Worcester Crown Court for trial on February 13.

Another trial date has been set for a man who denies stealing meat in Evesham. Stephen Rosindale, 35, appeared before magistrates on January 16 charged with stealing £16 worth of meat from Iceland in the town.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the case was adjourned for trial, which will take place on March 6 at Worcester Magistrates Court.

A trial date has been set for a man who denies driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

Harry Wilcox, of Drakes Broughton, appeared before magistrates in Worcester on January 16 to face a charge which states that on December 14, he drove a Seat Leon in Whittington Road while over the legal limit, with 48 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge, and he will appear again on March 27 at Kidderminster Magistrates Court for trial.
