CROWNGATE Shopping Centre has welcomed three additions this month, with the return of two businesses, as well as a new store.

Coffee Dough in Chapel Walk opened its doors again recently after a two-year closure following unexpected structural complications that brewed up during a renovation project.

The popular coffee spot, which re-opened on Monday, January 6, first arrived at Crowngate in 2017.

Waves Car Wash has returned to level four of the shopping centre’s car park at the end of last week after some time away.

An all-new addition to the shopping centre is Glam Beau, a beauty bar in Chapel Walk that specialises in eyebrow treatments.

Mike Lloyd, centre manager at Crowngate Shopping Centre, said: “Making sure our customers have the most positive visitor experience is always a top priority and by further strengthening our offering of quality stores, services and convenience, we can continue attracting even more brilliant independents and favourite names to the city.

“We now have another exciting place for people to have great coffee and light bites, along with an excellent place for grooming and customers can enjoy all this and more while their car is being cleaned to perfection.

“We hope that these additions will encourage the people of Worcester to continue to shop locally and keep supporting our independents.”

There has been many recent shop closures in Worcester.

These include Mothercare, which went into administration last year after struggling to compete with online shopping, entertainment store HMV which shut on Saturday, January 25, jewellers Ernest Jones, Moshulu and A Write Card.

Knowles Sports and Hawkin's Bazaar are also set to close in the city.

Patisserie Valerie also closed in Broad Street in July last year, as the national chain shut down 14 of its bakeries.
