MORE closures have been announced in the city this week including a burger chain and high end clothing store.
Annie’s Burger Shack is said to be closing in the Courtyard in St Nicholas Street at the end of this month.
Pockets in Friar Street and Whisper in Crowngate are also set to close with both stores donning closing down signs in the windows.
This follows a substantial number of shops shutting up and down Worcester city centre including Mothercare, Hawkin’s Bazaar, Moshulu, Bonmarche and Knowles travel.
It is not known why Annie’s is closing.
The American style burger chain boasted a number of different burger combinations, with each one available as vegan, veggie or meaty.
Nobody at the restaurant chain was able to comment when approached by the Worcester News.
Pockets, stocks high end designer clothing for men, and although it is a family run business, has five other stores across the country.
It’s only the Worcester store which is closing but the owners were unavailable for comment as the Worcester News went to press.
Whisper in the Crowngate is also closing down. the budget clothing store will be the fourth closure in Crowngate announced since Christmas.
Whisper declined to comment to the Worcester News yesterday.
