A MAN has been taken to hospital after being cut from his vehicle by the fire service.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "“We were called to reports of a reports of a road traffic collision on the A4103 at 9.04am.

"One ambulance, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, the driver of a car which had also collided with a pylon.

"He had to be cut free from his vehicle by the fire service before being treated injuries not believed to be serious. He was then transported to Worcester Royal Hospital by land ambulance for further assessment.”

The crash on the A4103 involved three cars. Police advised motorists to avoid the road, on the border of Worcester and Hereford, as it was blocked and there are long delays.

Most recently West Mercia OCC have said: "Traffic is starting to move through the scene, however will take a little time to clear due to the tailback (and one HGV now has a flat battery). Please expect short-term delays."
