Malvern be the location for Orchestra Pro Anima's next concert.
They will be directed from the violin by Michael Bochmann MBE, at Christ Church, in Avenue Road.
And they will be joined by well-known Malvern-based pianist Tim Sidford.
The programme, entitled ‘Baroque to Bartok’, spans nearly "250 years of beautiful music". The first half consists of two celebrated works from the Baroque period: Purcell’s Chaconne in G minor and the great Double Violin Concerto in D minor by Bach, in between which the orchestra will perform Mozart’s engaging Divertimento in D K136. The second half opens with Mozart’s wonderful Piano Concerto in E flat K449 followed by a work for solo piano, Mendelssohn’s Rondo Capriccioso. It continues with the lovely ‘Après un rêve’ by Fauré and ends with Bartók’s lively Romanian Folk Dances.
