THE Real Thing Greatest Hits Tour is really coming to Malvern’s Forum Theatre.
It’s a timely moment.
After all, the Greatest Hits Album has recently entered the Top 60 in the official National Album Charts.
But what is it all about?
A spokesman said: “The show features original vocalists Chris Amoo and Dave Smith.
“Formed in 1972, The Real Thing are Britain’s longest-established – and best-loved – black group in UK entertainment history. Universally known for their legendary hits ‘You To Me Are Everything’ and ‘Can’t Get By Without You’, The Real Thing remain pioneers in soul, funk and dance music.”
The band is indeed legendary, so much so, the journalist, author and founder of Mojo, Paul Du Noyer credits them alongside Deaf School with restoring "Liverpool's musical reputation in the 1970s" , because of their amazing success.
The date for the diary for the Malvern Theatres show is Friday April 3.
