TV PERSONALITY Howard Brown from the Halifax adverts featured on First Dates on Thursday night, viewers were surprised to see that he seems to now live in Worcester.

Howard was on the show looking for love after shooting to fame as the face of Halifax bank's adverts.

The former Halifax worker, who also appeared in The Office at the height of his fame, and released a top 20 UK single in 2005, met with receptionist Bev, who’s 61

She said her ideal man was "Idris Elba".

Howard Brown is best known for starring in the hugely popular, all-singing, all-dancing series of Halifax adverts. Howard’s first advert saw him sing ‘Extra’ to the tune of ‘Sex Bomb’ by Mousse T. Other adverts he has appeared in include singing ‘Who gives you extra?’ and ‘It’s a first, at last, my extra thing’ to the tune of ‘You’re the first, the last, my everything’ by Barry White.

Originally from Birmingham it would seem Howard now lives in Worcester.
