THERE have been six confirmed deaths at Worcestershire hospitals due to Covid-19, the Department of Health has said.

The deaths were at the trust’s hospitals that include Worcestershire Royal Hospital, the Alexandra Hospital, Kidderminster Hospital and Evesham Community Hospital.

Meanwhile latest figures released this afternoon show that the number of cases in the county was up to 146.

Nationally there had been 22,141 cases, with 1,408 deaths.

In the Midlands there has been 2,824 cases, the NHS region second behind London with 5,957.
