ALDI has donated 6,000 Easter eggs to Nursery of Narnia in Stratton and other charities across Wiltshire.
The budget supermarket will be providing 50 eggs per store per day to local charities and foodbanks in the county that support families and children.
Across the UK half a million eggs will be donated, including Maltesers, Cadbury and own brand.
George Cowley from th nursery said: “This is a great idea, we have 118 children in total that we were worrying about how we could get them all an egg dropped off as there are stipulations around bulk buying at the moment.”
Fritz Walleczek, managing director of corporate responsibility at Aldi, added: “Working with Neighbourly to donate Easter eggs to different groups and charities across the nation is a great way for us to bring a festive treat this Easter.”
