A WORCESTER communications firm has joined forces with other companies to launch a new digital business hub.

City company Nifty has joined with recruitment firm Baxter Williams and business intelligence experts Ometis to launch IsoNation, a business focused community to share expertise, opinions and the skills needed to adapt to the challenges posed by coronavirus.

Christian Collison, managing director of Nifty Communications, said: "Everyone is experiencing the immediate impact of this pandemic.

"The amount of uncertainty as the situation evolves is daunting but by working together we can all adapt and overcome this unprecedented situation.

"We’re all in this together and by sharing our expertise and opinions, we can help keep one another informed, motivated and mentally fit, ready to thrive again once this is over.’

Nick Baxter, managing director of Baxter Williams, said: "IsoNation covers all sectors and business sizes, from small independents and family businesses to large multi-national corporations.

"We’re inviting business owners, professionals, experts and thought-leaders to join IsoNation on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube to see one-on-one interviews with experienced experts across the country as we find some clarity through this uncertainty."

IsoNation is one of several ways businesses in Worcestershire have adapted to the coronavirus lockdown. With many companies switching to working from home, many have taken to networking via video.

Networking organisation Sterling Networks announced last week it was holding its regular conferences on video, launching “Sterling Virtual” to keep business in touch with each other and working together.

With more than 270 members from the business community, working together by virtual networking in groups across the region, Sterling Virtual helps maintain business relationships and visibility.

The launch of Sterling Virtual is welcomed by members who continue to network via Zoom, through the same structured meeting every other week across Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire.
