AN advice note has been produced for taxi and private hire licence holders across Worcestershire.

The advice note has been produced in relation to working safely during the coronavirus pandemic, and will be kept under review and updated in light of any changes to the Government's guidance.

The Government has produced detailed guidance to try and help organisations, agencies and others (such as self-employed transport providers) understand how to provide safer workplaces and services for themselves, their workers and passengers across all modes of private and public transport.

It outlines measures to assess and address the risks of coronavirus in the transport sector across England.

In accordance with this guidance, taxi and private hire licence holders who are working during this period are responsible for carrying out a risk assessment and putting in place control measures to reduce the risk of the transmission of coronavirus.
