MEET some Worcestershire’s beautiful lockdown babies.

We put a call out to new parents in south Worcestershire asking them to share their happy pictures of their superspecial ‘rainbow’ babies born during lockdown.

Photos have been pouring in and we shall be sharing them with you all in the comings days and weeks.

Many congratulations to all our new parents. And thank you for sharing your lockdown baby photos – and stories – with us.

It’s been a difficult time for families bringing babies into the world. Many mums have had to be in hospital for long spells by themselves, and grandparents, aunts and uncles and family friends have been denied those first cuddles.

So it’s great to meet some of the newest faces in the county here. They certainly brighten up our day!

Please keep the pictures and stories of your new arrivals coming – as we move out of lockdown, we’d love to be able to help you share the happy news.

And it couldn't be simpler, go here, fill in a short form and we’ll do the rest.

Worcester News:

‘Rainbow baby’ Edie-willow Ava Everton’s arrival was a moment of joy for proud Worcester parents Rhiannon Berry and Ben Everton.

She was born on April 10 at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, weighing 8lb 1oz.

Rhiannon said: “After I experienced a ruptured ectopic in 2018 my partner and myself didn’t think we would have any more children due to having one tube removed.

“Then we found out we were expecting a little bundle of joy and couldn’t be any happier. Edie-willow is our little rainbow baby born in the middle of a pandemic and has completed our family.”

Worcester News:

Daisy Jayne Homer, pictured here at the age of two-and-a-half months, arrived on April 5 at Worcestershire Royal Hospital to proud parents Stacey Hill and Damian Homer, of Worcester. She weighed at 5lb 7oz when she was born and mum Stacey said: “Daisy was due on April 13 but as she had been weighing small I was induced on April 4. It was scary giving birth in lockdown and very lonely but the hospital staff were absolutely amazing.”

Worcester News:

Lydia Evelyn Sayers is the first child born to Worcester couple Sara and Benedict Sayers.

She came into the world in Worcestershire Royal Hospital on April 13, four weeks premature, weighing 5lb 11oz.

Sara said: “Lydia was born healthy but we were in hospital for five days as she had to be tube fed until she learnt to eat on her own.

“It was difficult being in hospital with no visitors but the hospital staff were amazing.

“And Lydia being born in lockdown has meant my husband has been able to spend extended time with us at home.”

Worcester News:

AEFEWYNN Ellie Ditchburn was born on April 13 to Malvern couple Jodie Nutt and Paul Ditchburn, weighing 8lb 5oz on arrival at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Jodie said: “Every procedure the Government had put into place was still fresh in everyone’s minds and it was a very confusing time for both us and the midwives, but after 16 hours 35 minutes of labour, multiple lovely midwives and a lot of pushing she arrived – a happy and healthy baby.”

Worcester News:

A PEACEFUL-looking Matilda Elizabeth Waldron came into the world on May 1 at Worcestershire Royal Hospital to Worcester parents Gemma Sandbrook and Tom Waldron, weighing 7lb 5.5oz.
