ONE more person has died from coronavirus recorded in Worcestershire hospitals.
In the latest figures, the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has 273 recorded deaths from coronavirus, while the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust has recorded 28 deaths.
The latest figures from NHS England show the number of deaths in county hospitals stands at 301.
The latest figures refer to deaths recorded in the 24 hours leading up to 5pm on June 26, and do not necessarily refer to deaths happening on that day, only deaths recorded on that day.
A further 78 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,635.
Patients were aged between 56 and 97 years old.
Two patients, aged 73 and 96, had no known underlying health conditions.
Their families have been informed.
This means there have now been at least 510 deaths in all settings in Worcestershire.
The figures on deaths relate to patients who have died in hospital and who have tested positive for Covid-19.
They do not include deaths outside hospital, such as those in care homes, prisons, ambulances or in the community.
The Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust covers the Worcestershire Royal Hospital and Evesham Community Hospital as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.
