A DRIVER was taken to hospital after colliding with the central reservation on the M5.

At around 10am on Saturday (27 June) a car collided with the central reservation on the M5.

A Nissan GT-R travelling south bound on the M5 near junction 5 collided with the nearside barrier, before crossing four lanes of traffic and hitting the central reservation barrier.

The 50-year-old driver was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

Police are appealing to those who might have been travelling on the motorway at the time, and may have seen the incident.
