RESIDENTS of a county care home have been given a welcome distraction during the coronavirus lockdown, exploring a different country each day with a "virtual coach trip"
The residents of St Johns Nursing Home in Droitwich were shown the history, food and scenery of a different European country over the course of a week.
The week saw a different country being explored each day, including France, Spain, Italy and Sweden. As well as enjoying culinary delights from these places, the residents also loved tasting the various wine.

Allan Riley, home manager at the Shaw healthcare run home, said: "It’s important to offer a varied range of activities for our residents and even more so now that the they are missing out on visits from family and friends due to the lockdown restrictions.
"The virtual coach trip really saw the residents engage with each other as they enjoyed reminiscing about places they have visited. Everyone is looking forward to the next venture."
