THERE have been no new coronavirus-related death recorded in Worcestershire's hospitals over the last 24 hours.

The latest NHS England daily figures (July 16) show no newly recorded deaths in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

There have been 277 deaths in the trust's hospitals along with 28 in the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, which manages the county's community hospitals.

In total, there have now been 305 deaths in hospitals in Worcestershire from coronavirus.

In all settings, there have been at least 524 deaths in Worcestershire.

Nationally, 19 people who tested positive for the Coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,144.

Patients were aged between 52 and 91 years old.

All patients had known underlying health conditions.

Their families have been informed.

The NHS England figures relate to recorded deaths up to 5pm the previous day.

They do not necessarily include deaths to happen on that day.

The acute hospital trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, EveshamCommunity Hospital as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The health and care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
