A DANCER in a Worcester strip club is accused of attacking another dancer with a glass, pulling out chunks of her hair and leaving her with a dislocated shoulder.

Samantha Gavin is accused of the attack on Ella Eaton in Black Cherry in Lowesmoor, Worcester. The 44-year-old defendant of Lightoak Close, Redditch denied assault occasioning actual bodily harm inside the club on October 12 last year.

Sara Beddow, prosecuting, said the matter was not suitable for summary disposal at the magistrates court because of the alleged use of a weapon (a glass) on licensed premises, a view accepted by the defence. The alleged attack is said by the prosecution to involve a glass tumbler which smashed and a glass bottle, hair-pulling which left the complainant with a bald patch and punches or knees being thrown.

The alleged victim suffered the loss of sections of hair, a dislocated shoulder and bruising and swelling to her face and a torn earlobe say the Crown.

The case was adjourned until a further hearing at Worcester Crown Court on August 13 this year. Gavin was granted unconditional bail in the meantime.

The club opened in March 2014.
