THERE is no evidence of coronavirus spreading from the locked-down Herefordshire farm, health officials say.
Public Health England officers are keeping a close eye on the areas surrounding Rook Row Farm in Mathon following the confirmed outbreak of Covid-19 among workers.
Despite 93 confirmed positive cases on the farm, Herefordshire Council's chief executive said there is no indication of infections in the wider community.
The council's main focus is to contain the virus on the farm.

“We have been working with Public Health England who have taken very close scrutiny of all surrounding areas,” he said.
“That’s been carried out on an hour by hour day by day basis to determine if there are any new cases presenting in any surrounding area or any area that it is known the seasonal workers would have visited, such as shops.
“At this stage there is no indication of any community infection.
“There are inevitably around the country expectations that this may be the first but not the last of such outbreaks.
“We are sharing the learning coming out of this particular outbreak with the different agencies of government.
“I’m very keen to present to government the options that might be a better way of managing than the approach that is in place by government right now.”
