A SHOPWORKER has been left distraught after someone crashed into her car and fled the scene whilst she was at work.

Sophie Collins, 27, said her car was damaged whilst parked in Elgar Retail Park Blackpole.

Miss Collins, from Kidderminster, works in Argos in Droitwich but because of coronavirus has been needed in other stores in the county.

She said: “It was only my second shift in Worcester and this happened. I am devastated. I came out to my car at around lunchtime on Wednesday (July 22) and it was fine, but when I returned maybe an hour later I realised it had been damaged.

“Somebody had obviously driven into it and then just left without leaving a note or anything.

"I am absolutely gutted. I sat in the car for a while just sobbing. This is my partner's car and I feel awful, it seems as though it is just one thing after another at the moment. Neither of us needed this.”

Ms Collins has informed the police of the incident but is urging anyone with any information to come forward.

She said: “If anyone thinks they may have seen something please let us or the police know. The car must have been damaged between 12.15pm and 1.15pm on Wednesday July 22."
