CLAYTON Horticultural Society's annual show is to go virtual.

Exhibitors are invited to enter the virtual show by submitting photographs of their exhibits which will be shown on the society's website.

They are asked to send their photos before Thursday, August 27, by email to the webmaster at webmaster@claytonhorticulturalsociety.org.uk.

There will be no fees or judging or prizes, but a display of the “exhibits” will be on the website at noon on Saturday, August 29, the date of the cancelled show.

The show was due to have been held in the village hall but was cancelled because of the current pandemic.

Some classes are for members only, but many are ‘open’ classes for anybody to enter.

There are numerous classes in the vegetable, flower, housecraft, miscellaneous and children's sections for under 12s on the date of the show.

Two new classes are included this year - a bottle of non-alcoholic drink in the housecraft section and a painted rock in the children's section.

More details of the schedule and how to take photographs can be found on http://www.claytonhorticulturalsociety.org.uk/show/virtualshowdetails.pdf.
