After a weekend of beautiful weather (and a great test match victory for England in the cricket), residents can look forward to the return of the Eat Out to Help scheme this Monday to Wednesday.

Participating restaurants, cafés and pubs right across Bromsgrove District will be providing customers a 50% discount, up to £10 per person, thanks to UK government support. This is a great opportunity to back local businesses and employees in your area and help support our economic recovery.

The successful launch of the Birdbox in Bromsgrove town centre last Friday will also support that effort. Based on the former Market Hall site, the Birdbox is a new hospitality hub, with food and drink available, Friday to Wednesday – and future plans for arts and culture events! It was great to see residents enjoying the new space whilst socially distancing over the weekend.

As we celebrate Shop Local Week 2020, I’m encouraging residents to take advantage of these opportunities and support the vital work to help our economy bounce back from this crisis.

With Parliament in recess, I look forward to working on these local issues and catching up on casework to help local residents.
