WORCESTERSHIRE Stoma Care experts have been called upon by the producers of a national soap.

The Stoma Care team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust were approached by the producers of the popular BBC medical soap, Doctors, to share some insight into life in stoma care.

A spokesperson for the trust said: "Our Stoma Care team are influencing storylines on TV by giving clinical advice to the producers to ensure their storyline was factual and realistic."

The care team is made up of three Stoma clinical nurse specialists, pictured above, Donna Lewis, Sara Richardson and Jane Gascoigne.

The trio support patients undergoing treatment for bowel cancer across the county and have provided a great service to many local patients.
