A FIRM near Evesham and Pershore has joined a national business campaign inspiring small business.

Hound Helpers Ltd in Lower Moor was founded by Sarah Bartlett in 2007, and has gone on to become an award-winning pet care business.

Marking 100 days building up to Small Business Saturday on 5 December 2020, the Small Biz 100 provides a major profile boost to small businesses across the UK, particularly at this challenging time.

It is showcasing and celebrating daily, through social media, the vibrant range of small, community driven UK businesses.

Small Biz 100 have been promoting the firm, which sees the owner tour the country teaching both dog owners and other pet professionals about multiple dog households.

Hound Helpers aim to enable better bonds between dogs and their owners through positive motivational methods.

The county firm has embraced the online world during lockdown and have been able to help a broader spectrum of dog owners through this.

Hound Helpers has also built a team of highly trained hound hikers, groomers, trainers and admin staff.

The owner has used her expertise to publish two books in the last two years with plans to write many more. Hound Helpers also runs free coffee mornings offering support and advice to dog owners.

Hound Helpers had its day in the Small Biz 100 spotlight on September 1 and is celebrating by offering both published books at a reduced price of £9.99 on Amazon and inviting all dog owners to join her for a ‘talk dog’ live online course starting at the end of September.

Sarah Bartlett said: “I was over the moon to receive an invite to be part of the Small Biz 100, dog related companies are often not recognised in the small business world and to be picked out of thousands and across all sectors of small business was a delightful shock.

"Running a small business is hard, but this year has proven harder for everyone so this will give us the much-needed boost we need.

"This month is also our birthday month so what better to celebrate 13 years in business than with the SBS100 team.”

Michelle Ovens MBE, Director of Small Business Saturday UK, added: “Congratulations to Hound Helpers Ltd for joining the Small Biz 100.

"Given the phenomenally tough time small businesses have had, and the special role they played supporting communities in lockdown, it’s vital we continue to support them as this crisis continues."
