A PRIMARY school near Malvern has been rocked by the tragic death of one its teachers.

Cradley CE Primary School have said Karen Robb died suddenly yesterday (September 4).

Mrs Robb was a class one teacher and the school has said there will be a place for flowers to be laid and a condolence book when children return on Monday morning.

In a tribute on Facebook, the school said: "On September 4, our wonderful colleague and friend, Karen Robb, tragically died.

"We are truly devastated by Karen’s sudden death and the fact she has been stolen away from this earth too soon.

"As a school community, our thoughts and prayers are with Karen’s family at this very sad time. Our school will be open on Monday morning and staff will be supporting pupils and parents as they arrive.

"There will be a place for flowers to be laid and a condolence book for you to record your memories of Karen.

"In these current circumstances please bring your own pen if you wish to sign the book."

Following the announcement readers took to our social media, and our sister paper the Hereford Times, to pay tribute to the teacher.

Gardner Rosalind wrote: "Karen I will never forget you. Thank you for been the best work colleague and for believing in me and my son."

Hazel Fitzpatrick said: "Did my childcare training with Karen she was amazing woman this has made me so sad."

Pat Preece said: "So very sad."

Rose Hooper said: "Condolences to your family and friends."

Mandy Bowkett wrote: "Love to the family RIP," while Rachael Catherine Bayliss added: "So sad".
