TWO people have died in two different car crashes in as many days.

A minibus carrying three passengers and a HGV lorry collided killing one passenger and leaving three others requiring hospital treatment.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “An ambulance was called at 9.55pm on Sunday to the A44 Worcester Road in Pinvin, Pershore to reports of a collision involving a van and a HGV.

"Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended.

"Sadly, a passenger in the van was confirmed deceased on scene. The driver of the van, a man, suffered injuries which required treatment on scene before being taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

"A second passenger, a woman, had no apparent injuries but was also taken to the same hospital as a precaution.

“The driver of the HGV, a man, was assessed by ambulance staff and taken to hospital for further checks.”

In a separate incident a second fatal crash occurred on the A4104.

The crash took place on a stretch of the road between Pershore to Baughton Hill in the early evening of Saturday August, 5.

West Mercia are still appealing for witnesses who saw the crash, or who were in the area at the time.

They are also for people to check their dash cam footage that can be provided to officer investigating the crash.
