A 54-year-old man has appeared in court charged with seven sexual offences against a child in Worcester.
Martin Phillips of Glenthorne Avenue, Brickfields, Worcester appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court today, speaking only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
He is charged with four indecent assaults against a girl under the age of 16 said by the prosecution to have taken place between 2003 and 2004.
The defendant also faces three charges of penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15 alleged to have taken place between May and August 2004.
Six of the counts he faces involve a sexual assault said to to have taken place on more than one occasion.
Phillips was granted bail to appear at Worcester Crown Court on October 22. His one condition of bail is not to make contact, directly or indirectly, with the complainant in the case.
