ARMED police rushed to a Malvern street on Monday, after “threats of violence” were reported to them.
Police secured the scene at the top of Wedderburn Road and Pound Bank Road, in Malvern.
A police spokesman said there was an “increased police presence”, including firearm officers.
The spokesman said on Monday: “We are responding to a call from a member of public in relation to threats of violence.”
An eyewitness also described seeing an officer with a police dog at the scene.
Worcester News reader Brian Tipping said he also spotted armed police on Skyrrold Road in the town on Saturday, near to where he lives.

Mr Tipping said: “I decided to have a look from an upstairs bedroom when I saw a lot police and armed police, including two dog vehicles.
“They were shouting [out] ‘open up your door now’ quite loudly.
“I noticed they had gained entry into the house and could see upstairs rooms being searched by torchlight.
“This all happened at around 10pm.
“I did not see if anyone had been arrested at the time.
“This lasted for around 30 minutes before they dispersed.
“At the time there were a lot of people gathering around the police cordon.
“I’m not sure what this was all about though as I haven’t heard anything more.”
