WORCESTER’S MP says he is now cautious optimistic there could be some "real progress" going on in negotiations to reach a Brexit deal.
Formal talks between the European Union and UK ended last week, but officials are still trying to come to an agreement before the October 15 deadline.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said last week it was now up to the EU to avoid a no-deal scenario over post-Brexit trade.

If a deal is not done, the UK would trade with the EU on World Trade Organisation rules.
Robin Walker said: "The way things ratched up a notch a couple of weeks ago, but have now gone distinctly quiet over the last week and a half, actually there may now be some real progress being made (behind the scenes).
"If we end the year with some positive news on that front that would be a huge boost for the Prime Minister's leadership, and good news.
"We shall have to wait and see - it is still too early to tell."
