THERE have been no new coronavirus related deaths in Worcestershire hospitals according to the latest NHS England data.

The latest figures, announced by the NHS today (October 15) show no newly-recorded coronavirus related deaths in either the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust or the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust.

The total number of hospital deaths from coronavirus remains at 315.

This included 287 deaths in the Acute Hospitals Trust and 28 at the Health and Care NHS Trust.

The latest figures include deaths recorded up to 5pm the previous day and do not necessarily include deaths to happen on that day.

In England a further

81 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 30,743.

Patients were aged between 40 and 99 years old. All except three (aged between 67 and 86) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from 17 August to 14 October 2020, with the majority being on or after 9 October.

Thier families have been informed.

The acute hospital trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The health and care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
