THREE areas in the city saw ten or more cases recorded last week, according to new figures.

A total of 14 cases were recorded in Lyppard Grange in Worcester in the seven days up to October 10 – the most in any area of the city.

Thirteen cases were recorded in Worcester Town South - which covers most of the city centre towards Worcester Cathedral as well as Sidbury, parts of London Road, Wyld's Lane and Lowesmoor.

Ten cases were recorded in Lower Wick and Bromwich Road during the same period.

A total of seven cases were recorded in Worcester Town North - the area covering many WR1 and some WR3 postcodes and includes most of the city centre, Arboretum and Barbourne. Seven cases were also recorded in Battenhall and Diglis.

Seven cases were also recorded in King George's Field - which covers WR3 and WR4 postcodes including parts of Astwood Road, Tolladine Road, Langdale Drive, Brickfields Road and Blackpole Road – during the week.

Five cases were recorded in Warndon East, four cases were recorded in Henwick and four cases were also recorded in Ronkswood and Nunnery Wood.

Three cases were recorded in both Barbourne and Rainbow Hill and Northwick.

The figures are split into several ‘middle super output areas’ – which is used by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). These zones are slightly larger than postcode areas with an average population of around 7,200 people.

The latest data published by Public Health England shows which areas in Worcestershire have recorded three new cases or more between October 4 and October 10.

Areas with fewer than two cases are not highlighted by Public Health England.

Elsewhere in the county, a total of 11 cases were recorded in Abberley, Holt Heath and Hallow and seven cases were recorded in Colletts Green, Callow End and Hanley.

Ten cases were recorded in Wick, Elmley Castle and Fladbury.

A total of 4,327 confirmed cases have been recorded in Worcestershire (as of October 15) according to Public Health England.

Of those cases, 709 have been recorded in Worcester, 438 cases have been recorded in Malvern Hills and 782 cases have been recorded in Wychavon.
