THERE has been one new coronavirus related death recorded at a Worcestershire hospital in the latest figures.

The latest figures, announced by the NHS today (October 18), show one newly-recorded coronavirus related death at the the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, bringing its total to 288.

There are no reported deaths at the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and its total remains at 29.

The total number of hospital deaths from coronavirus now stands at 317.

The latest figures include deaths recorded up to 5pm the previous day and do not necessarily include deaths to happen on that day.

In England, a further 61 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 30,971.

Patients were aged between 54 and 96 years old. All except four (aged 56 to 92) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from October 4 - 17, 2020.

Their families have been informed.

The acute hospital trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The health and care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
