THERE have been no new coronavirus related deaths recorded at Worcestershire hospitals according to official statistics.

The latest NHS England daily figures (October 22) show there have been no new deaths recorded in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust, which remains at 288 deaths, with the number of deaths in the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust remaining at 29 deaths.

In total there have been 317 Covid-19 deaths in county hospitals and in all settings there have been at least 542 Worcestershire deaths.

Nationally a further 152 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 31,427.

Patients were aged between 36 and 97 years old. All except seven (aged between 61 and 95) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from 3 September to 21 October 2020, with the majority being on or after 16 October.
