A MAN has been handed a restraining order after sending threatening messages.

Richard Leslie Jenkins entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on October 15.

The court heard Jenkins had sent threatening text and Facebook messages with the intent of causing distress and anxiety to another person between February 19 and 20.

The 43-year-old also admitted possessing a quantity of cannabis on February 20.

Jenkins, of Millbrook Street, Hereford, was made subject to a two-year restraining order and fined a total of £410. He must also pay costs of £105 and a £32 victim surcharge.
