SINCE we launched our Meet The Trader feature in the middle of lockdown earlier this year, we’ve had a huge variety of suggestions from readers as to who should enjoy their moment in the spotlight.

We asked for your top traders, whatever line of business they might be in, and names came thick and fast.

You can be our Trader of the Week here

First out of the blocks were Neighbourhood Deli in Reindeer Court, who grappled with the problem of providing a food service at the height of the lockdown.

Worcester News:

Several florists were highly recommended, including Kilbury Flowers and DecadentLeaDone, while as a testament to the wide range of work covered by our independent retail heroes, there was also much praise for Alex Davies Plumbing and Heating, Stonemasons of Worcester, carpenter Dave Wytcherley and craftsman Howard Butler, who fashioned a piece that took centre stage in London at the memorial service for Sir Terry Pratchett.

Over the summer, things eased slightly but now, as we’re all too well aware, we’re close to more rigid restrictions again, so it’s more important than ever that we give kudos where they are due to our traders in and around Worcester who are providing their customers with the best possible service.

If you know of a business or have a business that deserves a moment in the spotlight, tell us here.

Let’s give some well-earned praise to our local traders – they deserve it. You can let us know who you should have their name in headlines here
