THIS week we’re sharing a handful of pubs from 1960s Worcester, none of which are serving pints today.
These images were all taken by former Chief Public Health Inspector, Tom Marsden, and many not long prior to demolition.
Only two of the buildings survive today, the former Globe Inn in Friar Street (now a clothing boutique) and the former Foresters Arms in Chestnut Walk, now student accommodation. Does anyone recognise any of these?
Worcester Life Stories is a collaborative project bringing local people together through shared stories of the City of Worcester.
It is co-led by Dr Natasha Lord, Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and Sheena Payne-Lunn, Worcester City Council and funded thanks to National Lottery players.
