THERE were six coronavirus deaths of Worcestershire residents in all settings, the latest week for data made available reveals.

The latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) ‘all settings’ figures for the week ending November 6 shows the six deaths, where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate, included two in a care home, of a Bromsgrove and Wychavon resident, and four in hospital, of a Bromsgrove, Malvern, Redditch and Wychavon resident.

The news follows the announcement of 12 new coronavirus-related deaths at Worcestershire's hospitals this weekend – the most since the peak of the pandemic in April.

The latest ONS data means that, in total, 554 Worcestershire people classed as having Covid-19, had died up to November 6.
