A HALLOWEEN burglary which saw tens of thousands of pounds worth of bespoke jewellery has left an Evesham business owner “heartbroken”.
The items were stolen from Absolute Silver at The Valley shopping complex overnight on Saturday, October 31 with proprietor Gail Prendergast believing it to be a targeted attack.
“It was really targeted,” said Mrs Prendergast.
“There were two people and it is only s small shop, they knew exactly what they wanted and took about an hour and a half. They chose the individual pieces of jewellery.
“There were lots of other bits and pieces in the shop that they left.
“It is very upsetting. You would not believe the impact this has had. After 13 years of being in business, it has just taken everything away from me.
“The things we buy from all over the world, more than 50 per cent of which are one-off pieces, have been collected over the years.
“It is heartbreaking to be honest.”
Images of several pieces of jewellery were shared by South Worcestershire CID to alert people who may have been or get offered any of the stolen items and ask for information.
A post on South Worcestershire Proactive/Offender Management Teams’ Facebook page read: “We are investigating a burglary which occurred overnight at Absolute Silver, The Valley, Evesham on the October 31, 2020.
“Have you been offered any of these items? Do you have any information in relation to the burglary? Please call 101 if you can help.”
