A 28-year-old Worcester man convicted of making threats with a hammer is due to enter a plea today after being accused of trying to supply drugs into prison from the dock.

Scott Fewtrell of Chedworth Drive, Warndon, Worcester is due to appear at the city's crown court this afternoon before Judge Nicolas Cartwright who has reserved the matter to himself.

The defendant was convicted of one offence of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on October 9 this year. This involved threats with a hammer.

Fewtrell further admitted commission of an offence while subject to a suspended sentence order made by Worcester Crown Court on August 29 last year.

Fewtrell is also on a deferred sentence and he faces a drugs supply offence. He is due to enter a plea to the drugs offence today which has to be resolved before he is sentenced.

The charge is that Fewtrell was in possession of 23g of cannabis and 45 tablets of Oxymetholone with intent to supply.
