SIR – Hazel Hyman’s experience of Worcestershire Parkway in February this year (Station may look good... November 26) and my own differ significantly.

Car parking ticket machines worked well although at 6ft 2in tall I had to crouch as the screens are set to accommodate wheelchair users.

There are shelters for passengers on all three platforms and in the shelter on the very high platform for services to Oxford and Paddington passengers were sitting comfortably.

There are two rows of seating near the lifts and as trains have recharging points having some at the station seems unnecessary. The passenger information screens need to be high so tall persons do not obscure them for those of smaller stature and every time I have visited the staff have been friendly and helpful.

From my own experience of using the station and listening to other passengers’ experiences Worcestershire Parkway is a welcoming place to catch a train and when after lifting of Covid restrictions normal train frequency is restored will prove to be a very useful addition to travel in Worcestershire.
