A man who committed fraud and stole a bicycle in Worcester has been fined.

Jason Allen, of Dines Green, who also goes by the aliases “Jason Allan”, “Gangsta Allen” and “Gangster”, was among those who appeared before Worcester Magistrates Court this week.

Allen, 31, admitted stealing the bike, worth £300 in Worcester on November 1, this year, and also admitted a fraud in which he claimed to be the owner of the bike to to make a £10 profit.

Allen was fined £40 and must pay a mandatory £34 victim surcharge.

No application for court costs was made as Allen has limited means. Instead magistrates ordered a further £124 to be deducted from his benefits when he appeared at the court on November 26.

Another bicycle thief, Richard Hill, was sentenced on the same day.

Hill, who also uses the aliases “Booey” and “Matthew Heaton”, admitted stealing a bike in Worcester on October 20 this year.

The 40 year-old, of Barbourne Road, was ordered to pay compensation of £220 and court costs of £50. The combined sum of these will be deducted from his benefits.

Also in court was a man who drove while over the legal alcohol limit. Ashley Goffe, of Wychbold, was banned from driving after the court heard he drove in the village with 45 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on November 4. The limit is 35mcg.

Goffe, 28, of Toll Orchard, admitted the charge and was banned from driving for 12 months.

He was also fined £166, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and must pay £135 court costs.

A man who admitted using abusive or threatening words or behaviour has been fined and given a restraining order. Curtis Allen, of Chamberlain Court, Droitwich, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in the town on October 7.

Allen, 31, was handed a 12-month restraining order, fined £40 and must pay £34 victim surcharge and £135 court costs. He appeared before magistrates on November 26.

Magistrates also issued an arrest warrant for a man who failed to attend court. Robert O’Neil, 33, of Bransford Road, was due to face a single charge of drink driving in Droitwich on May 21 this year - but failed to turn up.
