THE trial of a convicted sex offender accused of further offences against children continues today at Worcester Crown Court.
Simon Clancy, formerly of Teme Road, Tolladine, denies 10 counts of child sexual offences, alleged to have taken place between January and November 1992.
The initial trial had to be abandoned after the first day due to a juror being discharged, so the second day saw a repeat of the opening day’s evidence in front of a new jury.
Judge Nicholas Cole is presiding over the trial.
In the same court, after lunch, Lester Caine is up for a plea hearing. Court two is a remote court which means parties cannot attend in person.
The majority of cases being heard are from north Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
